Wallet Security

How Preddy protects your wallet and what controls are in place for automated features.

Key storage

All wallets — Preddy, Poly, and Safe — are stored and managed through Privy embedded wallets.

Privy uses secure hardware (TEEs and secure enclaves) combined with key splitting to protect your private keys. Neither Preddy nor Privy ever has access to your private keys. Keys are only reconstructed inside a secure environment under your control.

You can export your private key at any time through Privy's built-in export feature.

Import Polymarket account

Import an existing Polymarket account with Add Account → Import Polymarket accounts → Import Private Key.

Default behavior

By default, Preddy cannot perform any actions on your behalf. Every transaction requires your explicit approval at the time of signing.

Your wallet is fully self-custodial — Preddy has no ability to initiate, sign, or submit transactions without you being actively present.

Offline signing

Some advanced features need to act on your behalf when you're not online:

  • Stop losses — automatically exit a position when it hits a price threshold.
  • Copytrading — mirror another trader's positions in real time.

To use these features, you must explicitly opt in to offline signing. This allows Preddy to request signatures from your embedded wallet without you being present.

Offline signing is entirely opt-in. You choose when to enable it, and you can revoke it at any time.

Policy protection

Offline signing is not unrestricted. It is protected by policies enforced on two independent layers:

Privy policies

Privy's server-side rules restrict which signing requests Preddy can make, ensuring only pre-approved transaction types are allowed.

Alchemy policies

Alchemy's smart account infrastructure enforces additional on-chain constraints on what the signed transactions can do.

Together, these policies restrict offline signatures to trading-related transactions only — placing orders, approving USDC for the exchange, and splitting or merging positions.

Preddy cannot use offline signing to transfer your funds, change wallet permissions, or perform any action outside the defined trading scope.
