Introduction
Understand when to use copytrading, how setup decisions fit together, and where to find the full settings reference.
Copy Trading is a dedicated Preddy module for following a trader and automatically mirroring their trades with your own limits. Start here to understand the workflow, then use the settings guide when you configure a strategy and the full reference when you need every option.
When to use copytrading
Use copytrading when you want Preddy to keep following a trader while you are away, but still apply your own budget, trade size, timing, market filters, and execution rules.
It is useful when you already trust a trader's style and want automation to repeat eligible buys and sells. If you only want to observe activity first, start with alerts or wallet tracking before turning on automated trades.
Configure limits before increasing size. The four decisions that matter most are the trader, buy size, sell size, and budget — everything else has a workable default.
Setup flow
Choose the trader
Pick the wallet or trader you want to follow. Review their markets, sizing, frequency, and how they manage losing positions before copying them.
Size the buys and sells
Choose how each copied buy is sized, and how much of a position a copied sell should close. Sells are copied by default.
Set your budget
Define total and daily spend, and whether the strategy should pause itself on drawdown or profit.
Tune Advanced only if needed
Triggers, exposure caps, price protection, execution rules, market scope and system settings all sit behind Advanced, with defaults that are safe to leave alone.
Enable automation
Automation that can place trades requires offline signing. Preddy uses it only for the trading actions needed by the strategy you enable.
Review first results
Watch the first copied trades, then adjust limits if the strategy copies too much, too little, or markets you do not want.
